i recently got accepted to volunteer at the local SPCA, so activity may grow even more sporadic.
i’ve been roleplaying nearly nine years now, but writing since i was old enough to pick up a pencil and formulate a proper sentence.
i want to say i’m friendly - in a way, i am. i’ll be polite and welcoming but please don’t expect me to be always entirely open about myself and constantly chipper if i don’t know you well! i do have trust issues i’m still working out. but if i seem short or awkward, it’s not your fault. if i have a problem with you, i’ll tell you.
i’m autistic. along with this, i have bipolar type 2, anxiety, adhd, obsessive compulsive personality disorder, and psychosis. hopefully you’ll understand why i might not always be perky, or i might be curt. it’s nothing against you. these all also mean i don’t always have energy to write. the amount of replies i pump out a day will never be a set number. just however many i have energy for.
DON’T MAKE JOKES ABOUT TETSUO’S DEATH AND WHAT HE TURNS INTO AT THE END AROUND ME. PLEASE. I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT’S FUNNY ABOUT A TEENAGE BOY BEING TERRIFIED AND IN AGONIZING PAIN, BEGGING FOR HELP AS HE TURNS INTO SOME VILE MONSTROSITY.
on top of this, i project heavily onto him and relate more to him than any character i’ve come across. he’s so important to me. this is for my own comfort. seeing that kind of shit has driven me to tears. make jokes about his forehead, “KANEDAAA,” whatever… just, not his mental health. not his pain. not his fear. thanks.
i’m not always aware of what role players are bad news. if i’m writing with someone harmful, please send me an ask or IM. i’ll keep it entirely private. rest assured i had no clue, and will quickly cut contact with the aforementioned abuser.

💊 FOLLOWING / UNFOLLOWING.
i am selective. not terribly so, but i don’t follow everyone back. if you follow me and i don’t follow back within a few days, it’s honestly not because i hate you. i’m very shy in role play communities and even if i want to interact with someone i won’t pursue it, often times. it is also a matter of whether our characters could put up a decent interaction beyond a superficial first meeting. also sometimes i don’t get around to checking every blog that follows me, or i forget to follow back. when i check a blog i do read the rules and about pages, along with a few ic posts to see if we’d mesh well. your theme, graphics, icons, formatting, et cetera have no impact on whether i follow you or not.
i will give everyone a chance regardless of skill level. not everyone speaks english as a first language, developmental and learning disabilities are a thing, etc. i understand that. i’m very patient and willing to help, as well.

i only role play with mutuals. no exceptions.
i’m fine with one-liners/banter threads, but i prefer novella/paragraph. i enjoy fleshing out my characters and their relationships, i prefer exploring things with them and growing to love them even more. you don’t need to match my length in replies and i hope you expect the same of me. another note is that i have a hard time processing replies with very flowery, descriptive wording so they may take longer for me to reply to.
do not hound me for replies. as i’ve mentioned before, i’m not always feeling my best. there are days where i need to recuperate. there are days where i’m only feeling certain threads. however, if it’s been a week and i have not responded yet, feel free to give me a gentle nudge!
i will drop threads from time to time. sometimes i might lose interest, sometimes my muse won’t work for it. sometimes it seems like it isn’t going anywhere. but even if i drop a thread, don’t take it as a sign i don’t want to role play with you. you’re still free to thread with me!
tetsuo is extremely powerful, he wasn’t worshiped as a deity with akira for no reason. he’s incredibly difficult to kill as he can basically regrow lost organs, skin, muscles. he basically gets blown to bits multiple times and regenerates everything. his psychic abilities are basically seen as near-godlike as he’s akira’s “successor.” however, he’s also extremely volatile. he’s arrogant, he’s quick to anger. please do not be pissed if he lashes out at your muse. i will not kill or maim any muse without permission.

i only accept in character asks and memes from mutuals, of course. non-mutuals are free to send out of character memes, but nothing else.
speaking of memes, i don’t normally practice reblog karma. not everything will fit every character. but if you consistently only use me as a meme resource, i’ll grow more than a little frustrated. if i reblog a meme from someone regarding opinions on their portrayal, writing, etc, i generally try to send something in. i do ask that, if you can, send me asks for things like that at least. my mental illnesses give me a crippling sense of paranoia, along with anxiety over myself and my writing. so, basically, i need validation a lot. i’m sorry if that gets annoying.
if you send me an ask propositioning a role play and i don’t follow you, i probably won’t respond. it heightens my anxiety and also shows me you didn’t read my rules at all. of course there’s a difference between, “hey let’s rp” with no ideas for what you want, and “hey, i’d be interested in rping and here’s the idea i have…” it doesn’t need to be something wildly fleshed out, just a general idea. knowing you actually put effort in will catch my interest and make me likely then to follow back.
anon hate will be entirely ignored. you’ll be blocked. i have no patience nor energy to deal with hate and vitriol spewed at me. i have a statcounter so don’t think i can’t see where you’re coming from, and proxies don’t hide your ass.
💊 PORTRAYAL.
i made this section because, like every blog for a canon character, i may tend to diverge from canon in some places. i have a few headcanons of my own for tetsuo that might not be entirely “canon,” but things i find important to my portrayal. such as the fact he was raised by his birth mother for a few years before her death, his father wanted nothing to do with him, and he was orphaned and adopted some time later after going in and out of foster care.
but a big thing on this blog: my tetsuo is a trans man. he’s gotten top surgery and been on hormones for two years by the start of the manga, with the help of his friends and perhaps some people they may have known. if you don’t agree with this headcanon, fine, that’s your prerogative, i’m not forcing it on anyone—but if you wish to role play with me, you need to acknowledge it’s part of my portrayal. i’m not going to make him cis for you because you don’t like him as trans. IF YOU CANNOT COMPLY WITH THIS, I WILL NOT ROLE PLAY WITH YOU.
his dead name will not be revealed on this blog and only given out to select rp partners in private. any asks prodding him about his dead name, his genitalia, any transphobic asks towards him, and any asks attempting to argue with me about this headcanon will be shit-canned. thanks!
i don’t mind if you haven’t read/watched akira, you can still role play with me. though, for anyone who has only seen the movie: do not assume you suddenly know everything about my tetsuo and the world he is in. the manga and the film have many vast differences and i prefer tetsuo’s development as well as the development of the other characters within the manga. the plot is very rich and intense, and while i love the movie as it’s a classic, beautiful, and wildly influential, i won’t use aspects of his movie counterpart. i will still reblog gifs / screencaps, and perhaps use movie icons, but my portrayal is pretty much purely manga based.
💊 SHIPPING.
this blog is multiship. each ship takes place in their own verse, but i’m not going to come up with a verse name for every ship. but there will be no cheating from my character, trust me on that. do not force ships on me. flirting from your character is fine, but do not act like our characters are in an established ship without consulting me first.
mun is of age, but this is where it gets complicated. in the beginning of the manga, tetsuo is 15, but the time between volumes 3 and 4 is not necessarily specified. i tend to think it’s two years, landing him at 17. however, plenty of interactions set post-manga may have him 18 or older, along with other verses. basically, shipping in his verses pre or during the course of the manga is a little… eh. not to mention, in most verses, it’ll be hard to ship with him anyway, ‘cus *hank hill voice* that boy ain’t right.
however, verses where he’s 18 or older are not for shipping purposes. it makes sense in my timeline / aus for him to be around this age after the events of the manga, or in verses like star wars. i’m not into aging up characters for the sake of shipping/smut. it makes me feel gross. if a ship happens, it happens, but it is not my goal for this blog. tetsuo’s very, very messed up and has a hard time connecting to people.
smut won’t happen on this blog. especially with his main verse, where he’s 17, and his pre-manga verse where he’s 15. don’t push it or you’ll be unfollowed and blocked. any nsfw drabbles, memes, etc ( as rare as they are ) are set in verses where he’s over 18. any ship with another character 18+ is also set in these verses.
while i’m multiship, my main ship partner is MOTAKAPUSERU. my ship with them will be the most prominent on this blog, and will be present through most verses.
